🦋 IC Information

Character Name: Morgana AKA Mona
Age: Equivalent of a teenager, I guess????
Canon: Persona 5 Royal
Canon Point: Epilogue/post-game (pre-Strikers)
Character History: Wiki
Canon Abilities:

Transformation Morgana is a volatile, magical existence that doesn't conform to ideas of existence the way most humans do. More or less, his form can change based on his environment and what's needed of him. In the fae realm, he'll have a bit more control over these than he would normally, given the complicated magical world it is.

  • True Form A short, bipedal feline form with a very large head. He's able to use his pas as hands, and is extremely agile and nimble. A true thief! This is what he'd consider his true form. Normally, he only takes this form in the Metaverse, but due to the nature of the fae realm he is able to transform into this more at will. However, like summoning his Persona, he can't hold it for long-term and gets tired from using it, to balance things out.

  • "Cat" The form he takes in the real world, and that he'll be in for most of his time here. In this form, he looks and acts just like a cat (though he is adamant that he's not really a cat), though he is able to talk. Normally only select individuals can understand his speech, but here everyone can understand him normally. He can do anything a normal cat can do.

  • Car When necessary, Morgana can transform into a large van that people can get into and drive around. Something about cats and turning into buses... However, he needs someone to actually drive him to move! The bus is spacious enough to fit a whole cast of Personas.

  • Helicopter?!?!? - He was able to turn into a helicopter, once, with the additional boost of Jose's star. He wouldn't be able to do this on his own, but a large surge of magic might be able to push him along. Or perhaps... even into other forms! (Like when Maruki made him human)

  • Persona Morgana is able to summon an aspect of himself as his Persona, an actualized manifestation of his subconscious. As an extension of himself, it obeys his will and is primarily just used for combat.

His Persona, Diego, primarily uses Wind and Healing abilities. He also passively makes allies' healing more effecient! Each spell costs SP, so is limited per fight, etc etc you know how JRPGS work. Diego blocks other Wind attacks, resists Bless (or, for rp sake, similar) attacks, and is weak to Electric. Generally he can't keep his Persona out for long periods of time, just brief moments when it's needed to fight.

    Inventory:
Sword (Claiom Solais) - Melee sword for battle.
Slingshot (Sudarshana) - Yeah. A ranged weapon that allows him to attack enemies as long as he has some ammo. Somehow this counts the same as the other thieves with guns.
Armor (Dragon Scale Scarf) - While seemingly just a scarf, this provides him extra defense in a fight.

    🦋 Personality

Option 1: Answer the following questions. Elaborate on the answer, especially your characters thoughts and feelings surrounding the answer. For Canon Characters, you can choose four questions. For Original Characters, you will need to choose six questions. Keep the word count to 150-400 per question.

Option 2: You may instead choose words from the following list to expand upon as your personality section. Elaborate on what this word means to your character, specifically their thoughts about it. For Canon Characters, you can choose five words. For Original Characters, you will need to choose seven words. Keep the word count to 100-300 per choice.

  • Pride

  • Morgana is familiar with pride as one of many emotions that can twist someone into a monster and spawn a Palace. Pride is a precursor to cruelty, and he is natural adverse to the twisted desires of those who abuse others... and yet. He can't escape his own pride, both sometimes blinding him to others' feelings but also covering his own insecurity. It's not so bad in small amounts, right? Right? He has pride as a thief, and a bit of arrogance, but not nearly enough to bring himself to actively hurt people. Still, he has the smugness of a cat and the tendency to enjoy a good ego stroking. His is just... more harmless. Pride is a double edged sword, and it has cut him before when he was soooo sure he didn't need the other thieves (he did) because he'd grown too insecure. Now he's much better at both tempering his pride and his insecurity, but... still. He's a bit of a brat.

  • Sin

  • On the one hand, sin could be the twisted desires that have lead people to become cruel Rulers, but... on the other hand, Morgana's a thief. He's an outcast and hangs out with the ostracized and the victims. He knows what it means to be seen as evil by the powers that be, and it's made him pretty aggressively dislike most authority. The sinners are usually the ones fighting in the shadows to improve things! And the people grandstanding about justice and righteousness are just using it for their own advantage. Why should he have to prove what he knows is right, when it's so much more important to actually help people? When morals are just decided by the winners and the powerful, virtue and sin mean practically nothing. It's up to people like him to right this world and help the people caught in the mire of those twisted ideals. Sometimes you gotta break a few laws to do what's right.

  • Glass

  • Glass invokes reflection, mirrors, and Morgana is someone deeply involved with reflections. After all, a Persona is just the ultimate reflection of one's self, isn't it? By the very nature of his ability, Morgana has to reflect on himself to grow and become more powerful. At this point, he's had a lot of development, enough to gain his ultimate Persona, but... people never stop changing. And speaking of, Morgana himself is a reflection of humanity as a whole -- or at least an aspect of it. He's humanity's hope, a representation of its unwillingness to give up and its pride in itself. Of course he'd be a cat, self-assured and clever and so needy for affection. Nobody rules a cat but itself, and so to does humanity insist on self-reliance as one of its greatest virtues. And as frustrating and petulant as he can be sometimes, that's just part of the reflection -- loud, overbearing, annoying, and unwilling to be ignored.

  • Fur

  • Okay, yes, even his true form is furry, but fur evokes the more cat-like form he's stuck in while in the "real" world. For so long, the form haunted him, as he was so certain he was human. He had to be human! Even after he knew the truth of his existence, he still wanted to be human so badly that Maruki could manipulate it. But now... he's come to embrace his nature a bit more. No, he's still not a cat, but it's okay that he's not human. He won't say it, but he does enjoy being a cat in some ways -- it grants him a degree of stealth and freedom that his human companions don't always have. And let's be real he's someone who desperately wants affection and validation, and who doesn't love to hold their kitty close? Maybe his fur was a prison, once, but it's still who he is.

  • Door

  • While the Metaverse doesn't technically have a door, it's still metaphorical door, and so Morgana is someone who constantly moves between doorways. He is someone who doesn't quite fit in any one world and so always moves between them. He is too magical for the real world, and yet he cannot be satisfied being content with the Metaverse and that world. Plus, he's a cat and a thief: boundaries mean nothing to him, he comes and goes as he flees. That's something he really prides himself in, and being restricted drives him crazy (it's a good thing he likes you, Ren, and so tolerates being stuffed in a bag). Doors are just a suggestion for someone so naturally designed to be chimeric. He's not one to turn away from change, from moving forward, even when it's scary. Maybe once he feared being irrelevant, but he's learned to be more flexible, to be more trusting of those around him to know that any closed door is another one opened.
